Accessibility & Disability Resources

Students with Disabilities

Students with disabilities can successfully participate in many Study Away opportunities.  If an accommodation may be needed for any aspect of a study away program, APU’s Accessibilities & Disabilities Resources (ADR) is here to help. Accommodations may be available, but are not guaranteed for all programs/locations. It is the responsibility of the student to consult a representative of the ADR to explore all options prior to the acceptance of any program offer in order to determine if a program is in alignment with accommodation needs. More information available HERE under “Study Away Disability Accommodations”.

The Accessibility & Disability Resources team coordinates a number of direct services for undergraduate and graduate/professional students with physical, intellectual, or mental health disabilities. Accommodations are individualized based on a documented disability and the functional limitations of each student.

Important note: Students with disabilities will not be discriminated against in the application or approval process. All information will be cared for and used to assist the student in planning an excellent Study Away opportunity.
