Smoke Free Ontario

Under the Smoke Free Ontario Act, smoking and vaping are prohibited at school, on school grounds, and within 20 meters of school property.  It is also a violation of the Act to be holding an e-cigarette, commonly referred to as a “vape”.  Students and visitors are strongly encouraged to abide by the Smoke Free Ontario Act at all times while on school property, including while in parking lots, driveways, or parked cars.  Students who contravene the Act will be subject to school consequences, and anyone may be reported to the Hasting and Prince Edward Public Health enforcement team which can result in a significant fine.
