I intend to explore the idea of light and dark and how it can be used in different ways to create certain moods. The light creates a drama and aura around the subject of the scenes .I have tried to create strong meanings with the subject matter of my photos. I have explored the relationships between people in their space and how they interact in the environment in relation to a film genre known as: Film noir. This genre explored the prototypical stories derived from crime fiction that emerged in the US during the Great Depression. I want the viewer to resonate with the scenes and I want to evoke emotions in them. I have taken great influence from photographers such as Brassai, who explored the idea of spying into a private night scene in Paris and revealed the beauty of the city in the early 20th century.
