Through my work I want to explore the feelings of nostalgia that can be evoked through photography. I have looked to the past for inspiration, for example through Pre-Raphaelite art and the values they hold to shape my work. I want my photography to convey the same dreamy timelessness that is prevalent in their paintings, and in the work of Victorian photographers' such as Julia Margaret Cameron. I try to keep my photos ambiguous as to the time period they are from, to make the feeling of timelessness and nostalgia even stronger to the viewer.
