Throughout my project I intended to explore the world of the unknown and the uncanny; extra terrestrial life, spirits and demons. There is more to the world than just the superficial and I proposed to illustrate through my artwork that anything is possible… if you just imagine it. Our subconscious mind is more powerful than the conscious. We think without meaning to think. So where do we get these thoughts from? I think this proves the existence of parallel dimensions that cross over our world (including the spirit world which we can access through conjuring spirits and shamanic practices) as what we imagine must exist somewhere else. You can imagine a tree and also prove its existence in the material world. So surely anything we imagine must exist… even if we can’t physically prove it. This is what my art explores; that what we think is ‘the impossible’ is actually very possible.
