Step 3 - Consider what your child(ren) would like to study, and submit your initial course selection
We will be inviting parents/carers to share with us their initial course selection for child(ren) by Friday 18 March 2022. This initial selection is intended to represent initial preferences around the courses that are being considered by students, and may be adjusted later as required. These initial selections will enable us to be able to provide targeted support, and allow students to consider courses in more depth. You can make your initial course selection clicking on the button.
Step 4 - If you'd like to meet with a member of the team, book some time with us
We will be inviting parents/carers to book a meeting with a member of the team to discuss the options available, and access support and guidance. These meetings will be personalised meetings for each family to ensure that the discussions are as supportive as possible.
Parents/carers can book your meeting through our online Parents' Evening booking system.
We would please ask you to book your meeting (if you would like one) by Friday 11 March 2022.
Step 5 - Subject Events & Workshops
Based on the initial selection, we will be inviting students to participate in a series of workshops and events to explore courses they are considering in more detail. During these workshops, students will learn more about the course, and have the opportunity to take part in activities and events to gain a clear understanding of what studying the course will feel like. We’ll share information with parents/carers about the workshops that students will be participating in.
Step 6 - Confirm the Course Selection
We will be asking parents/carers to confirm course selections during the final week of term.
The final course selection form is to allow parents/carers at Tendring Technology College to submit their final course selection for subjects they wish to study from Year 10. Parents/carers only need to submit the Final Course Selection Form if there are any changes to the courses that were originally selected on the Initial Course Selection Form.
