SEN

Special Education Needs

The SEN team has now been reconfigured to better support the needs of KS3 and KS4 students.

KS3 (Year 7 and 8)

Will be lead by Janet Gamesby supported by Sharon Groves and Margaret Barry.

KS4 (Year 9, 10 and 11)

Will be lead by Sue Hall supported by Angela Power, Clare Pinnegar, Sean Organ and Helen Lloyd.

Learning Support Assistants will be working within those key stages carrying out interventions during registration time as well as in class support and other interventions throughout the school day.

Learning Support Assistants will always come and collect and return any children timetabled for intervention during registration or within periods one to five.

All children with an Educational Health Care Plan have been allocated their required hours of support within class and in some cases additional intervention. In class support has been timetabled according to the students current progress and we have targeted subject areas where they are below progress levels. This will be reviewed after every Academic Progress Check.
