PSHE

PSHE education is a planned programme of learning through which children acquire the knowledge, understanding and skills they need to manage their lives. As part of a whole school approach, PSHE develops the qualities and attributes pupils need to thrive as individuals, family members and members of society.

PSHE is delivered from Year 1 to Year 6 through the PSHE Association.  PSHE education is to develop the knowledge, skills and attributes they need to keep themselves healthy and safe, and prepared for life and work.

The Programme of Study for PSHE aims to develop skills and attributes such as resilience, self-esteem, risk-management, team working and critical thinking in the context of three core themes: health and wellbeing, relationships and living in the wider world.
