Open only to juniors or seniors. Successful completion of Algebra 1.

Description:

This year long course is designed to meet the needs of college-bound students in 11th and 12th grade whose direction is towards non math/ science fields. The skills needed to cope with the mathematical demands of a technological society are developed and emphasis is placed on the application of mathematics to real-life situations. Topics include: Sequences and Series, Sets, Logic and Probability, Functions, Geometry and Trigonometry, Descriptive and Inferential Statistics. A substantial piece of research, in the form of a project, is required and will be completed in this course.
