5.07 Derivatives with Calculator

Pre-Work:

I) Watch, Read, & Note (make sure you write down the keystrokes for each process, and practice this using your calculator!):

1)  Example 1 

Find the derivative of f(x)=x^2+2x at

a) x=4 

(this is the same as finding f'(4))

b) x=15 

(this is the same as finding f'(15))

2) Example 2

Find the derivative of f(x)=x^(-3)-2x^2+4x+60 at x=2

3) Example 3

Find the derivative of f(x)=0.3x^9-3x+7  at x=2
