What is the VPN used for?
The AccBio VPN is used to connect the LiveScan system to our synchronization servers. This uploads all demographic data from the system to Accurate Biometrics and pulls down new system configurations. Livescan submissions are not complete until the system has been synchronized over the VPN.
In the lower right corner of the Desktop, click the up arrow to display apps in your system tray
Double click the FortiClient Icon to open the Forticlient VPN Application
If the VPN Client is not running in the Task Tray, you may need to launch it from the Windows Desktop
Click the connect button. Your username and password will be configured and saved by IT
When your VPN is connected you will see the status show here. You may click “Disconnect” at any time if you no longer need access to protected resources.
From the home screen in ABLE-X, click the "Synchronize" tab
With your VPN connected, click the "Synchronize" button
Wait for a success prompt.
If you receive an error, sync was not successful
Your client VPN will disconnect after a period of inactivity. Please check that your VPN status is shown as connected before attempting to connect to AB protected services.
VPN is dependent on a stable internet connection to stay connected. Internet or Wifi issues will cause any VPN client to disconnect/reconnect intermittently.
