• Fingers should be pointing at the cord and grounded firmly against the platen and grounding bar.

• Roll your finger to the right at a 45-degree angle without losing physical contact with the bezel and platen and then lift the finger straight up and off the scanner. 

• Palms should be flat and not lifted to ensure finger contact with the metal grounding bar

• Do not hold scanner by the cable

• Avoid excessive bending or straining the USB cord
