The scanner must be plugged into the system, prior to starting ABLE-X. Otherwise you need to perform a manual reinitialization. See below for the manual reinitialization process.
Closing and restarting the ABLE-X application will also reinitialize the scanner on load.
Optional --- You do not always need to perform this step. Only perform this task if the step below is not successful.
Locate the USB cable that is plugged into the PC or Laptop
Unplug the USB cable
Plug the cable back in
In the upper left corner of the ABLE-X application, locate the "Peripherals" menu
Select "Peripherals" and then click "Reinitialize Scanner"
On the fingerprint capture screen, under the fingerprints tab, you will see the model of your scanner and the initialization status.
