Web designers are responsible for big-picture decisions on web sites, like the menus listed on the site, and smaller details, like which font, color, and graphics to use. In the SQA N5 National Progression Award in Web Design you will learn to produce the layout and design of a website, and add code to make the site interactive.
There are a range of careers directly available from studying this course, including web content editor, web content manager, web designer and web developer.
The SQA NPA in WEB DESIGN qualification is offered at National 5.
The course consists of 3 units and these are assessed by:
internally set and marked assessments given at appropriate times during the course.
there is no external exam
Learn how to design a website, then build it using HTML and CSS.
Learners will capture, create and optimise their own graphics.
Learners have to add interactivity to a website using the website languages JavaScript and CSS.
