Business with IT

This NPA (National Progression Award) in Business with IT is designed to provide pupils with the knowledge required for success in future employment or for progression to further academic qualifications.  It will enable the pupil to be more confident in the use of software application packages.  

Learners can study this course at SCQF level 5 or SCAF level 6 

How this course can help you:

• Pupils will be given the opportunity to work with digital audio, images, video and animation.  

• Pupils will develop skills in computer literacy, numeracy, collaborating and interacting with others and working independently.

• This course can be completed independently or an alternative method of achieving this with other qualifications would be:
  
  

  • NPA Business with IT (Level 5) could also be achieved if a pupil is completing N5 Business Management and either N5 Administration and IT or PC Passport (Level 5)

  • NPA Business with IT (Level 6) could also be achieved if a pupil is completing Higher Business Management and either Higher Administration and IT or PC Passport (Level 6)

Progression:

Pupils who successfully complete this NPA could progress to the following:

• SCQF level 6

• National Certificate in Administration

• National Certificate in Business

• National Course in Administration 

• Higher Administration and Information Technology

• Higher Business Management

Course assessment:

The units are assessed by:

• Internally set and marked assessments given periodically duing the course

• There is no external exam
