Notes on String 3: How to read the notes on string 3 (G) and recognize them as letters and finger code.

1. D and G String Scale

The first thing you should try on these strings is playing this simple scale. I've provided the finger code. Remember, the code is String #: Fret #, so 4:2 is String 4 (D): Fret 2, which makes the note E.
