Scary Story Project

Students will choose a scary story, record narration, add a soundtrack, and add sound effects.

Day 1: Read through these stories and choose your favorite. Based on the class vote, students are choosing between the three below.

1. Choose between these three stories:
   1. Hide and Seek
   2. The Clown Statue
   3. The Hitchhiker
2. Decide if you're working on your own or with a partner
3. Reread the story and begin planning your narration. I'll provide printed copies of each for easier recording tomorrow.

Day 2: Begin Narration

1. Learn about audio channels and HOW TO SAVE!!
2. Experiment with mic levels/distance from mic
3. Record in chunks (sentences or paragraphs) for easy editing
4. Take turns or split in half if working in a team
5. Spaces available: Instrument storage room, ramp, music office, practice room (if no lessons), practice room, stage
