The fourth edition of the SOLETO Spring School & Workshop on Behavioural Economics, Finance, and Management brings together an interdisciplinary community of scholars and students to examine how behavioral economics, finance, and management science inform decision-making in an era increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence.
The program is hosted in Soleto, a historic town in the Salento area of Puglia — a setting that combines logistical accessibility with an environment conducive to sustained intellectual engagement and informal scholarly exchange.
The program spans four busy days and uses various formats to encourage deep learning and lively discussions.
Round tables bringing together researchers and participants for moderated discussions on emerging themes and open questions
Parallel lectures* offering specialized tracks across behavioral economics and strategic management, tailored to different levels of expertise
Workshop sessions where participants present their ongoing research and receive structured feedback from an audience of senior scholars
Individual mentoring provides personalized feedback from senior researchers and keynote speakers on ongoing work and career development
Orientation sessions where university faculty help high school students explore academic opportunities
About 80 participants and 30 established scholars are expected to attend. This size encourages lively interdisciplinary discussions while still allowing for meaningful personal connections.
*Before the program begins, each participant selects their preferred courses based on their interests and research focus. During the school, participants are free to move between parallel sessions, building a unique itinerary tailored to their own intellectual priorities.
The program is intended:
For Undergraduate and Master's students to promote an immersive introduction to experimental and behavioural economics, finance, strategic management, and econometric tools.
For Ph.D. students and Postdoctoral researchers to present their ongoing work in dedicated workshop sessions.
Starting in 2026, secondary school students can join a dedicated track led by faculty from Sapienza University of Rome, who guide them as they explore academic opportunities in economics, management, and the social sciences.
The program encourages meaningful intellectual exchange across disciplines and helps participants build lasting collaborative networks.
