How to reach the Summer School and Workshop location: Soleto
By plane:
(1) Brindisi airport is the closest airport (at about 70 Km). There are direct connections from Barcelona, Paris, London, Brussels, Frankfurt, Geneva, Zurich, and several other European airports. There are also several connections from Rome and Milan on a daily base.
From Brindisi airport to Soleto there are two solutions:
- [1 hour 30 minutes]: Public buses at 8 € (30 minutes: arrival in Lecce at ‘City Terminal Piazza Carmelo Bene’) + 15 minutes walk to the train station + Train at 1.8 € (Trenitalia) from Lecce railway station to Soleto railway station (40 minutes);
- [40 minutes]: Private shuttle (by email to cimeo@uniroma1.it or by WhatsApp to the conference organizers): you can book (at least 1 day in advance) your transfer. We have agreed special prices for summer school and workshop participants. We would try to coordinate group transfers in order to reduce individual price.
(2) Bari airport is the second closest airport (at about 190 km). Besides the same connections as for Brindisi airport, there are several other daily flights especially from Spain, Germany and eastern Europe.
From Bari airport to Soleto there are two solutions:
- [3 hours]: Train from Bari airport to Bari railway station (15 minutes, 5 €) + Train to Soleto railway station (2 hours and 30 minutes: 13 € – 18 € on the Trenitalia website).
- [1 hour and 45 minutes]: Private shuttle (by email to cimeo@uniroma1.it or by WhatsApp to the conference organizers): you can book (at least 1 day in advance) your transfer. We have agreed special prices for summer school and workshop participants. We would try to coordinate group transfers in order to reduce individual price.
By train:
(3) Please visit the Trenitalia website to find a train from your departure station to Soleto railway Station (you should change train in Lecce train station).
The railway station of Soleto is 500 mts walking distance from the conference venue and the historical city center of Soleto.
