Thanks to special arrangements with local companies, Summer School participants arriving at Brindisi Airport or Lecce Station can take advantage of private transfers at discounted rates. Book your transfer at least two days before the Summer School begins to secure our special rates. We aim to organize group transfers, reducing the cost for each participant.
N.B. Private shuttle cost is not included in the summer school fee.
If you arrive at Bari airport or central station, the organization team will suggest the best way to get to Lecce or directly to Soleto.
The organization team will provide additional information to selected participants.
Brindisi Airport is the closest airport (about 70 Km). There are direct connections from Barcelona, Paris, London, Brussels, Frankfurt, Geneva, Zurich, and several other European airports. There are also several connections from Rome and Milan on a daily base.
From Brindisi airport to Soleto (3 hours):
Public buses: arrive at Lecce's City Terminal Piazza Carmelo Bene, followed by a 5-minute walk to the train station. Then, take a train from Lecce railway station to Soleto railway station with Trenitalia, which lasts approximately 50 minutes.
Bari airport is the second closest airport (about 190 km). Besides the same connections as for Brindisi airport, there are several other daily flights, mainly from Spain, Germany, and Eastern Europe.
From Bari airport to Soleto:
Train (about 4 hours): from Bari airport to Bari railway station. Then, take a train from Bari to Lecce Central Station and to Soleto railway station.
Please visit the Trenitalia website to find a train from your departure station to Soleto railway station (you should change train at Lecce Central Station). The railway station of Soleto is 500m within walking distance from the conference venue and the historical city center of Soleto.
Participants arriving by train should pay attention to trains on Sundays because they are severely limited. It is therefore necessary to make sure that trains are available. In case of problems, it is advisable to contact the organizers.
