"Lighting Our Way with Phosphorescent OLEDs"

Abstract:

"Phosphorescent OLED lighting is an emerging technology that offers power efficient and high quality illumination with compelling form factors, such as flexibility, transparency and reduced thickness. This presentation focuses on the ongoing development of OLED light panels, where phosphorescent emitters are used to realize high energy efficiency and long operational lifetime."

Speaker Bio:

Dr. Peter Levermore graduated from the University of Durham, UK in 2003 with an M.Sci in physics. In 2008 he received his Ph.D. in physics from Imperial College London, UK. During the last 7 years, he has been engaged in research in organic electronics, with a particular focus on OLEDs. Dr. Levermore has more than 30 journal publications and numerous patent applications in the field of OLEDs. He is currently a Research Scientist at Universal Display Corporation, focusing on research and development of highly-efficient and long-lived phosphorescent OLEDs for display and lighting applications.
