SID-MAC Workshop!

Screen Printing Electroluminescent Displays

Thursday, March 4

Presented by John Sarik and Ioannis (John) Kymissis, Associate Professor Columbia University.

Learn about powder EL, and build your display!

Participants will be able to design and print their own fixed format EL displays using screens designed and cut with a computer numerical controlled (CNC) machine tool. A power supply to drive your display will also be provided for you to take home. Plans and demonstration units with more sophisticated control systems will also be available.

Bring clothes that can get dirty!

DATE: Thursday, March 4. Changed due to inclement weather.

LOCATION: Room 1300 in the S.W. Mudd Building (this building neighbors the Schapiro where we've held previous meetings). Note: the door to 120th street is locked, so walkers should enter it from the campus. We can let them in if the doors get locked -- call John at 347-850-xxxx if necessary.

Also: For a free parking pass, contact John at johnkym@ee.columbia.edu no later than Noon on Monday, March 1. You will be able to park anytime until 10PM, but must leave by 10:30 PM (we do not expect to run that late!).
