It can be difficult to find a book that you want to read, especially because we have so many in our library! For tips on how to search the SCHS Library catalog, click HERE.
Below are some tips on finding books that you want to read!
Tips and Tricks:
Our library website has a number of pages for finding interesting books! We have a page of Reading Lists with award winning books, the California Young Reader Medal Nominees, and more! You can find the page HERE.
Bookshop Santa Cruz, our local bookstore, has a Teen Book Crew that reviews amazing books! You might find a book you want to read through looking through their reviews! Find the blog HERE.
The BookSeer allows you to input a book you have read and liked and it will recommend you books depending on your interest! You can find it HERE.
The SCHS Library catalog also has Pathfinders on various subjects. For example, you can find a list of Spooky Reads, Short Stories, Mythology, and Native American writing! You can find the list of pathfinders HERE.
NOTE: Sierra, the library assistant, has a pathfinder of some of her favorite books in our library collection. You may find something of interest there, too.
If you are still having difficulty, ask Sierra or Veronica! They are always happy to help!
