How to Access Santa Cruz Public Library Live Tutoring

SCHS Virtual Library Peer Tutoring is available 1st period, at lunch, 4th period, and after school until 3:15, 2:00 on Mondays.

But what if you need help later or on the weekends? Good news! You can now access live tutoring through the Santa Cruz Public Library website from 1pm to 10pm every day!

Find instructions below on how to access this live tutoring.

Instructions:

    1. Begin on the SCPL homepage. You can find it HERE.

    2. Click on Research, located on the top of the homepage.

    3. Scroll down to the box that says Homework Help and select the box. You can also find the page HERE.

    4. Once you navigate to the Homework Help page, look under the High School Resources. This is where you will find Brainfuse HelpNow as the second option. Click on it!

    5. Enter your library account information. To find out how to apply for a library card online, CLICK HERE.

      1. Note: Every library card has a password (PIN) assigned either as the choice of the patron or the default which is the last 4 digits of the phone number provided when you receive a card!

    6. The first time you log in, you will have to register to create an account in Brainfuse. (Keep track of your login information for next time!)

      1. Once you’re all logged in:

        1. Select your grade

        2. Select your subject

        3. Click the box if you’d like your tutoring session in Spanish

        4. Connect with a tutor!
