Creating an OPALS Account

How to Create an OPALS Account

Did you know you can make an account on OPALS? This would allow you to track your loans and make it easier to put books on hold in the catalog!

Instructions:

• 1. Begin on the OPALS homepage. You can find it HERE.

  2. From the homepage, navigate to the right hand corner of the screen. Select Register Account.

  3. You will be taken to a page where you will input your Student ID. Type your Student ID in the User ID / Barcode menu. Select OK.

  4. You will be asked to verify your name. If it is correct, select NEXT. If not, contact Veronica at veronicazaleha@sccs.net.

  5. On the next page:

     1. Input your STUDENT EMAIL. This is the email you use for school!

     2. Create a username. This can be the first letter of your first name and your full last name. You can also make it your Student ID.

     3. Create a password. We suggest stu(your student ID), but it is up to you.

  6. Select OK. You have now created a student account.
