Self-Awareness - Wellness Wheel: Learners will explore the various ways that they stay healthy - both physically and mentally
Self-Management - Problem Solving: Learners will be focus on a framework for helping them determine how urgent a problem is, and focus on how you respond differently to problems of different "size" (urgency)
Self-Management & Executive Functioning - Time: Learners will be introduced to time management, and some basic ways that they can increase awareness of how they use their time to complete tasks
Self-Management- Building Habits: Learners will investigate how they can turn a behavior into a habit
Self-Management - Unhealthy vs Healthy: Learners will explore various behaviors and engage in discussion of healthy and unhealthy strategies, and evaluate when a behavior may shift from "healthy" to "unhealthy"
Self-Management & Executive Functioning - Time Management, Routines, and Structures: Learners will focus on how routines and structures help us manage our time and resources
Self-Management - Emotion Management 103: Learners will continue to explore strategies for addressing their big emotions and managing them in healthy ways
Self-Management - Coping Skills Café: Learners will build their self-care toolbox by practicing different coping skills that they can use to regulate their emotions
Self- Management - Test Taking Escape Room: Learners will practice their problem-solving and coping skills
Self-Awareness - Careers 103 (Parts I and II): Learners will investigate different types of careers
Transitions - Preparing for Middle School: Student Services staff from the middle school will introduce students to life in 6th grade. Topics covered include scheduling, lockers, administration and support staff, class choices, sports & clubs, and frequently asked questions
Transitions - Transition Stations: Prepare for a successful transition into middle school through practice at various preparatory activities
Discuss how your child is performing on standardized tests and in course standards
Explore the Course Description Guide together to discuss elective offerings for the following year
Attend Parent-Teacher Conferences
