Self Care: Learners will explore ways to manage their self-care, recognize stress, and draw from a toolbox of strategies to manage their mental wellness
Digital Citizenship: Learners will consider ways to be a positive digital citizen and use social media responsibly
Exploring Post-Secondary Pathways: Learners will review various post-secondary pathways available to them, and learn about what those they types of preparation needed for each
Exploring Post-Secondary Education: Learners will discover ways to search for information on post-secondary institutions and begin exploring potential post-secondary educational institutions
Post-Secondary Education Comparisons: Comparing top post-secondary educational institutions of interest
Post-Secondary Institution Tours: Tour local technical schools, colleges, and universities to help identify potential institutions of interest
Financial Literacy: Learners will develop an understanding of financial literacy concepts such as credit, debit, budgets, and credit scores
Post-Secondary Financial Planning: Learners will explore the anticipated costs of post-secondary education and discuss ways to address these costs
Confirming My Course: Review and modify (if needed) four-year academic plan that supports future academic and career goals, and assessment of current standing with high school graduation requirements
MBTI: Identify your Myers-Briggs Type to learn more about how you interact with others, and to increase your collaboration and communication skills (health class)
Pre-ACT Testing: Participation in the ACT Suite of assessments
Course Selection: Selecting elective opportunities from a wide array of elective courses for their junior year, expanding on areas of interest and trying new experiences. Learners will also have the opportunity to "test-drive" courses in advance
ACP Journey Self-Reflection: Learners will assess their progression in becoming Future Ready through the ongoing updates to their Future Ready website that highlights their growth in the Graduate Profile Competencies
Future Ready/ACP Conferences: The year will culminate with a personalized conference between learner, parent, and ACP advisor. Learners will share their experiences, what they have learned about themselves, and their future-ready plan at this meeting
