In Pewaukee, our ACP Mission is "Opening the Door to Each Child's Future....so All Students Can Open Doors for Themselves!". We want each graduate from PSD to be prepared to successfully embark on the next step in their journey - whether they pursue a four-year degree, a technical degree, receive training within the workforce or pursue military training. Ultimately, the K12 journey is only part of their path, and education & learning will be a requirement of their continuing endeavors. We are committed to ensuring our students have the knowledge, skills, and dispositions to be FUTURE-READY!
In Spring of 2015, PSD applied for and was granted the opportunity to become a pilot district for the state ACP initiative. One of 25 districts throughout the state, our participation in this pilot program provided early access to professional development, software, and updates as the system was developed at the state level. Over the next 2 years, time and resources were dedicated to building an ACP system that was in full implementation by 2017. District strategic planning continues to support the development of our Future-Ready work as we refine our academic and career planning, develop metrics, and scale innovative practices.
