Seachtain na Gaeilge

Seachtain na Gaeilge took place in O'Connells last week. During the course of the week boys in all classes made a huge effort to speak Irish to teachers and pupils alike. Raffle tickets were given out as rewards and every day there was a prize awarded to the winner of the draw - Gaeilgeoir an Lae.

Chomh maith le seo - throughout the week each class practiced the traditional Irish dace Ionsaí na hInse / the Siege of Ennis.

On Friday 11th March the whole school went to the hall for our annual céilí. Each class sang a song or recited a poem as Gaeilge and the whole school did the Siege of Ennis. Bhain muid uilig sult as!
