HELP! HOW DO I USE THE LIBRARY'S SITE?
DON'T WORRY--
There are a lot of pages on the library's site, but you can use this guide to understand how they work and where to find everything.
There are 4 sections on the site--see the tabs at the top of the page? Each tab leads to one of the 4 sections.
Here is what you'll find in each section:
- MSAD 51 Research Guidelines
- Citation Help
- Advanced Google Search
- Other tips and pages for getting your research done
This is where you can access the links to all the library's paid subscription databases.
You will also find the password and login information for each resource on this page.
This page is private and requires that you sign into your MSAD 51 email before you can see it.
This page has links to all the assignments and topics for which you may be conducting research online.
Each of the sub-pages, listed alphabetically, is a portal page containing a list of links to sites that have been previewed and
approved by your teachers and librarian.
Looking for a book, eBook, or audiobook? Links on this page take you to the library's resources for obtaining reading material
in various formats.
You'll also find Ms. Perkinson's Goodreads feed (and occasional reviews) here, as well as the Tumblr blog "WeReadinHS" on
which she posts information and news about books, authors, poetry, writing, contests, infographics, and anything else that
looks fun and is related to reading. You are welcome to follow this Tumblr, but be aware that Ms. Perkinson does NOT follow
student Tumblr blogs.
