GHS DATABASES
Login to your MSAD51 gmail and click on the GHS Library Databases tab (see above) to get usernames & passwords
Tips:
- Click on the link next to the GIC icon, it's down at the bottom of the list.
- Try these spellings for your keywords: "vector-borne disease" but also try "vector born disease;" "waterborne disease"
- Note that you are only shown the first few of each type of result (ie News, Academic Journals, Reference) and you will need to click on the number in the upper right corner of that section to access all of the articles.
- Data, statistics, and background information about countries around the world.
- Can search by country or by topic (ie, a specific disease).
- Look for the purple "Scholarly Journals" tag in your results list
- Good source for multimedia and primary sources, also good for historical background on your topic
- Use the headings in the boxes on the left (Source Types, Subjects) in your search results to sort and navigate
Login-->Advanced Search-->Type in your keyword(s) but BEFORE you click "SEARCH" scroll down & select appropriate "Disciplines." You may also want to filter by DATE so you get more recent publications.
