2. Genres

This year, Ute Meadows is piloting Into Reading, a program that ties reading and writing together. We we will be exploring personal narratives, descriptive informational essays, persuasive texts, imaginative stories, personal essays, poetry, procedural texts, factual report writing, correspondence writing, and opinion writing.

Our first genre is a personal narrative (recount). In reading we are reading about how good citizenship can make a difference. During our writing block, we will be exploring how even the smallest actions can lead to big results.
