Platform Structure
Platform Structure
Platform is made up of portals, workbenches, workbooks, consoles and utilities.
The term portal refers to a browser-based 'internet cyber door' - a gateway - that provides access to a specific selection of software applications and related information. A portal provides two essential services: (1) it groups logically-related application functionality in a way that simplifies navigation and workflow, and (2) it provides access control to application functions and information (that is, the presentation of information and application functions are based on the user profile that is signed in to the portal). A portal is also sometimes called a portal site or application portal.
The functionality provided by the aggregated procurement management platform has been arranged as set of portals; these portal groups serve the needs of particular actors in the aggregated procurement ecosystem. There is a group of portals for each of the participant groups in the procurement ecosystem (in other words, there is a portal set for buying organizations, a portal set for supplier organizations and a portal set for the aggregator organization).
Each of the individual portals (that make up a portal set for a participant group), serve the specific needs of a particular role within the procurement function. For example, for organizations that participate on the 'buying' side, there are 3 portals: (1) x, that is used by (2) y, and (3).
The portal arrangement of the aggregated procurement management platform is as follows:
Buyer Organizations:
x
y
z
Supplier Organizations:
a
b
c
Aggregator Organization:
