1. A basket of fruit has 2 apples, 2 bananas, 1 orange and 1 mango. A piece of fruit is chosen at random, recorded and returned to the basket. Another piece of fruit is chosen and recorded  

a) List all possible outcomes in the form of a table or tree diagram

b) Find the probability of each event:

i) An orange is picked both times

ii) An apple and a banana are picked 

iii) A mango and orange are picked


2. Daisy has three color choices for a T-shirt.  She has two blue T-shirts, one purple 

T-shirt, and 3 black T-shirts.  She also has two color options for shorts: two green 

and three oranges.

 a) List all the possible outfits (in a tree diagram or table) that she can have.

b) What is the probability that Daisy will pick a blue T-shirt and green shorts?   


3. Pete designed a spinner called Product 12. The spinner is spun twice. To win the  

game, the pointer must land on two numbers with the product of 12. The numbers 

on the spinner are  2,3,4,5,6.

a) Complete a tree diagram or table with all possible outcomes  (products not 

numbers spun) for the game.

b) What is the probability of winning the game?
