Valerie Simon, Ella McKee, and Alex George (pictured above, left to right) captured first place in the Be Entrepreneurial Challenge (hosted virtually by Junior Achievement and Bentley University) with their product “Active Animals”an app that focuses on getting children moving and having fun while doing it. This challenge was open to National Business Honor Society members and students in the Entrepreneurship class.

Competing in teams of three, these students learned about and used design thinking to come up with an innovative idea. They created a business plan outlining their chosen idea. Junior Achievement volunteers and Bentley College Honor Students worked with the students throughout the day. Business professionals also shared their experiences as entrepreneurs and innovators with the challenge participants. The day culminated with students pitching their ideas to a panel of judges.
