DECA Business Club
DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe.

What do we do:
At each meeting, we learn about aspects of business. No prior knowledge needed!
We do community service activities (Financial Literacy Fair with Buttonball Elementary, Holiday Gift donations)
We sell, prep, and distribute Heart Grams (learn about the selling process)
Compete at State Competitions (challenge yourself, work on your public speaking skills, compete!) Go to InterNationals if you place in the top 3 spots (this year Nationals is in Anaheim, California!) Last year 2 GHS students went to Orlando, FLorida and the year prior 8 students went to Atlanta, Georgia!
Listen to Guest Speakers (when available) who will share their expertise with us about that topic of business
We learn by doing (and have fun!!)
Learn about retail by working in the school store
Meeting Information
We meet bi-monthly in the faculty dining room usually on Wednesdays starting at 2:15 p.m.
First meeting will be Wednesday September 13!
