Agricultural Sciences FAQs

Q:  What is the tuition of the program?

A:  This program is at no cost to you, your town pays for your student to come to our program.

Q:  Which towns do you service?

A:  Glastonbury, East Hartford, Manchester, Andover, Marlborough, Hebron, Newington, Wethersfield, Windsor, and Hartford.

Q:  Is there a uniform?

A:  No, there are no uniforms for school. FFA does have a dress code for formal events, which is explained in the Ag Survey Class.

Q:  What is FFA?

A:  FFA is a youth led organization that promotes personal growth, premiere leadership and career success for students in Agriculture.

Q:  Are there after school busses for my student?

A:  Every town provides a normal bus for students at the end of the school day. Only Glastonbury and Hartford have after school activity buses that come at 4 p.m.

Q:  How do I apply?

A:  The application and due date information can be found on our AgScience Applications page.   You will need to work with your School Counselor to complete the application. School Counselors complete their portion and forward the completed application to our GHS Agriscience Department.
