Tech Crew and Stage Help
We will need a crew for lighting, sound, props, scenery and other techie stuff. Tech applications are outside the Performing Arts Office (Mr. Brown's office, I-718) and are due by Tuesday Sept 22.
Tech crew will have the same schedule as the rehearsal schedule.
On November 13 and 14, 2015, Smoky Hill HS Theater will be presenting Alice in Wonderland from Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. Alice in Wonderland tells of a girl named Alice falling through a rabbit hole into a fantasy world populated by peculiar creatures. The tale plays with logic, giving the story lasting popularity with adults as well as with children.
Acting Auditions: Be prepared with a one to two minute monologue of your choice (preferably comedic, and should be memorized). For those who have not auditioned before, there will be options for cold readings.
Call Backs: Be prepared for Call Backs on Thursday Sept 17, after school. Cast lists will be posted by Monday Sept 21 on the drama call-board and on the SHHSdrama.com website.
Check-In: Check-in near the Green Room (performing art hall entrance to the auditorium) after school Tuesday or Wednesday. Auditions will probably run until 5:30 pm. Bring a photo (or we can photocopy your student ID) and a résumé of performance experience if you have one!
Rehearsals: Rehearsals will be held Monday-Friday 2:45-6:00 PM beginning September 21 through November 12, all-day Saturday November 6 and evenings from 5:00 - 9:00 P.M. the entire week of the show. (It is imperative that you have no rehearsal conflicts and can commit to 99% of rehearsal times.)
Bring to Auditions:
- Memorized Monologue

- Headshot (Photo or copy of ID okay)
- Audition Information Sheet (see below).
