Thank you for your interest in the 2025 Colorado Thespian Conference! There will be many workshops offered, live performances, student performance competitions, and more than 3,000 high school theatre students participating from around the region. This is the third largest high school theater convention in the nation. There will be plenty of great activities and events for everyone. Contract and fee due by September 30!

Several important notes:
Contract and Registration Fee: The Conference registration fee is $130.00 per student and must be turned in to Mr. Brown with the contract NO LATER THAN: WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 30, 2025. (The Fee should be turned in with the ThesCon Contract which can be downloaded below.)
Field Trip Forms: The all CCSD required field trip forms must be signed and returned to Mr. Brown NO LATER THAN TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 30, 2025. No student will be allowed to attend without the required forms, signed by parents and/or guardians.
Hotels: The participants will be staying at the Hyatt Regency Denver Hotel at Colorado Convention Center, 650 15th St, Denver, CO 80202, (303) 436-1234. The students will be staying four to a room, and the rate is $80.00 per student total for both nights, but please remember the hotel stay is OPTIONAL. Note: if a student is staying only one night in the hotel, the full total fee of $80 still has to be paid.
Times: Opening ceremonies will be held on Thursday, Dec. 11 and will conclude on Saturday, Dec. 13.
Transportation: Transportation is the responsibility of the parent. Prior to the conference please call Mr. Brown with questions or concerns: 720-886-5435

Thespy Awards (International Thespian Excellence Awards): are judged events requiring an extra fee of $25 each for a maximum of two. Sign up for Thespy's as soon as possible as they fill quickly.
Seniors: See Mr. Brown ASAP if interested in performing a Senior Scholarship Audition.

Good news from the State Thespian Conference 2023. Of the 15 students Smoky took to the State Conference, 2 qualified for Nationals at the International Thespian Festival and Competition in June, 2024 at Indiana University in Bloomington, IN.
The two students, Nora Assougdam and Marlow Potter qualified in musical theatre, and for both, they have qualified for Nationals for a second time!

Good news from the State Thespian Conference 2022. Of the 24 students Smoky took to the State Conference, 13 qualified for Nationals at the International Thespian Festival and Competition June 19-23, 2023 at Indiana University in Bloomington, IN. Two students, Keaton Cantrell and Leah Potter qualified in two events, and Kat Maurelli has qualified for Nationals for a second time! The following are the qualifiers and categories:

Thirteen Smoky students attended the State Theatre Conference December 2021, with all 10 students who competed in acting, musical theatre or technical theatre competitions scoring an “Excellent” rating or above from the state judges!
Keaton Cantrell scored a “Superior” in Musical Theatre
Kat Maurelli scored all “Superiors” in Costume Design, and qualified for the National ThesCon Conference at Indiana University this coming Summer 2022.
