Auditions Jan. 8-9, 2014

The Show

On February 28 and March 1, 2014, Smoky Hill HS Theater will be presenting Almost Maine written by John Cariani, directed by Mr. Brown. Almost, Maine is a play comprising nine short plays that explore love and loss in a remote, mythical almost-town called Almost, Maine.

Auditions

Acting Auditions: Be prepared with a one to two minute monologue of your choice (preferably comedic, and should be memorized). For those who have not auditioned before, there will be options for cold readings.

Call Backs: Be prepared for Call Backs on Friday Jan 10, after school. Cast lists will be posted by Monday Jan. 13 on the drama call-board and near the auditorium doors.

Reminder: Check-in near the Green Room, (performing art hall entrance to the auditorium) after school Tuesday or Wednesday and be prepared to take part in the auditions. Auditions will probably run until 5:30 pm. Bring a photo (or we can photocopy your student ID) and a resume of performance experience if you have one!

Rehearsals

Rehearsals will be held Monday-Friday 2:45-6:00 PM beginning January 13 through February 28, all day Saturday February 22 and evenings from 5:00 - 9:00 P.M. the entire week of the show. (It is imperative that you have no rehearsal conflicts and can commit to 99% of rehearsal times.)

Tech Crew and Stage Help

We will need a crew for lighting, sound, props, scenery and other techie stuff. There will be a sign up list posted Jan. 13 and application forms in Mr. Brown's office,

I-718 for those interested.

Tech crew will have the same schedule as the rehearsal schedule.
