Hallways and Foyers

The SoHo and NoHo shifts are half an hour each. The MaHo shift is an hour.

Each shift is done weekly

    • The hallways and foyers workshift focuses mainly on the floors, but if there is furniture, straighten it. First remove all trash and stray dishes. Vacuum the carpets, and sweep and mop the hard floors. If the vacuums are both broken, sweep the carpets.

    • Every hallway shift has a stairway assigned to it. Make sure you clean the stairs as well!

    • Empty mixed paper bins if they are almost full. The following floors have mixed paper bins that should be emptied into the bin in the driveway: NoHo 1, SoHo 1, and SoHo 2. (There is also one in the carriage house, but there’s another shift for that.)

    • If there are items left out in the hallway and a habitability inspection occurs, then we automatically FAIL. This means that every member of the house will be charged money. Clear out the stuff if possible. Otherwise, notify a manager (or someone responsible) so we can remove it as quickly as possible.
