This course introduces students to signal and systems properties, Fourier transforms, and the basics of amplitude modulation. Students also learn about sampling and aliasing, Z-transforms, digital filters, and nondeterministic signals. The lecture is supported by a lab component which provides students with hands-on learning opportunities.
Content in Signals and Systems addresses outcomes 1, 4, and 7. Anchor assignments are used to formally assess outcomes 4 and 7 on a two-year cycle. Additional information, including outcome assessment, is included below.
