This introductory course in electric circuit exposes students to fundamental laws, basic network analysis, and circuit theorems. Additional topics include capacitors, inductors, operational-amplifier circuits, and first- and second-order circuits. Students also learn to perform sinusoidal steady-state analysis of AC circuits and are introduced to computer-aided circuit simulation. Outcomes 1, 5, and 6 are addressed in this course. Outcomes 5 and 6 are formally assessed on a two-year cycle. Additional information, including outcome assessment related to this course, is included below.
