Accommodation

Here are some options for accommodation. We recommend staying on the university campus for convenience.

On Campus

We have reserved some en-suite rooms on Lancaster Campus for 2 nights- Wednesday 23rd and Thursday 24th April. Breakfast is included. Please see http://www.lancaster.ac.uk/conference-facilities/welcome/gallery/ for more information.

If you would like to reserve one of these rooms, please contact us on yfaw2014@gmail.com, rather than the conference centre directly as we have booked all the available rooms for that period.

Several of the rooms are twin (separate bed) en-suites. If you are planning to come with others from your university and would not mind sharing a room, do let us know, so we can ensure more people can stay on campus.

Off Campus

Travelodge Lancaster http://www.travelodge.co.uk/hotels/498/Lancaster-Central-hotel, is reasonable, situated in Lancaster City Centre (around 2 miles from the university), and has buses to the university departing from nearby.

Financial Support

Since we have been awarded an LMS Scheme 8 grant, as well as a Faculty of Science and Technology grant, we will be able to provide limited support to cover accommodation and travel costs for participants from the UK. This will be allocated on a first come, first served basis, provided the expenditure is reasonable. Therefore do try to book well in advance.

If you are travelling from overseas (that is, outside the United Kingdom) we cannot guarantee to pay your travel expenses, but may well be able to cover accommodation costs.
