Honorable Lord Rhysling of Westover, mka Stephen Charles Ford
11/20/1949 - 1/3/2011
I saw the news of Rhysling's memorial service on the "Kingdom of Trimaris"
Facebook page just a short while ago and am saddened to hear of the passing
of one of our own. It has been several months since I had seen Rhysling,
and quite awhile before that time, as he had not made many events in the
last few years. I am very grateful that I saw him and made the time to spend
a few moments to tell him how good it was to see him that day.
Rhysling of Westover was a dedicated, if quiet, servant of Kingdom and
Dream. Although he offered his services in other endeavors, Rhysling was
most often seen on the field waterbearing when he was still able; many of
you may remember the 'water buffalo' he had constructed on a trailer
(complete with a "4WATER" license plate), which he also graciously agreed to
haul all the way to Gulf Wars X to assist with the waterbearing efforts
there. Rhysling was recognized for his service with an Award of Arms at Hero
of the Chalice in 2000, an Argent Palm on 4/3/2004, and a Grant of Arms at
TMT 2004.
Although many of us have commitments this weekend that will prevent
attendance at his memorial service, please visit the funeral home's web
page and let his family know how much we appreciated his friendship and
service. The website, and obituary, are below. This Saturday, whether you
are at home, or sharing the Dream that meant so much to him, raise a glass
in memory of one who gave so much.
In service,
Madeleine, Baroness of Wyvernwoode
