Parlan MacRonan

Honorable Lord Parlan MacRonan

  • MKA: Patrick Schrantz
  • Passed: June 22, 2009

Honorable Lord Parlan MacRonan was an avid supporter of St George's Fair, always ready to assist with the event itself and also to enter the Pas d'Arms making a beautiful showing while fighting for his wife Seannach. Parlan could often be found fighting on the tourney fields of Trimaris and always worked to have beautiful period presence on the field. At Pas d'Arms and Crown Tourney, Parlan's heraldry and lovely white surcoat depicting the catamount rampant from his arms were always a stand out. In 2001, Parlan was squired to Earl Brendan MacAengus.

Also quite skilled with the arts, Parlan enjoyed glass etching and bead making often producing lovely items that were used as consort gifts for tourneys in which he fought. Locally, Parlan was the Marshall for the Shire of Fiodh Ogain.

Gone far too soon from us, Parlan will be greatly missed for his bright spirit, sincerity and willingness to jump in at the last minute and make projects succeed. For those who wish to do something in his honour, please consider a donation to the Snow Leopard Trust in his name - Patrick Schrantz.

A Celebration of Life for Patrick will be held at Trimaris Fall Coronation, 2009.

Parlan's Device: Sable, a catamount rampant ermine, breathing flames gules, within a bordure argent charged in cross with four crosses couped gules.
