Cup-like apothecia up to 2 mm across

Found 1 March 2012 at Ardivachar, South Uist, growing on rotting seaweed. Records suggest it is scarce nationally and rare in Scotland.

Apothecia up to 2 mm across.

Apothecial hairs up to 300 µm, 0-2 septate.

Asci 8-spored, 240-260 x 13.5 µm.

Spores: 13-17 x 7.5-9 µm.

Paraphyses: 240 x 5.5 µm, slightly broadened at apex.
