Mycologists from all over the UK have arrived in the remote north west of Scotland.

Kicking off in Ullapool this week is an Upland foray organised by the British Mycological Society. The event is being led by Bruce Ing, who last hosted a BMS foray here 20 years ago. Bruce anticipates plenty of new finds for the area, all of which will contribute to a flora of Rosshire that he hopes to produce in the near future.Several members of the Scottish Fungus Groups are here too, and will send out updates via the Scottish Fungi Facebook and Twitter accounts.
