Launch of 'Fungus of the Month' - The 'Lurid Bolete' in August!

Starting this month, Scottish Fungi will post a profile of an easily identifiable fungus, 'Fungus of the Month'. The project will hopefully inspire you to send in records of these species to improve our knowledge of their ecology and distribution. August's fungus is the Lurid Bolete, Boletus luridus. Look out for the wine coloured line that appears in the flesh above the tubes of the cap.
