CLASS Z BOGIE

Z CLASS consisted of locomotives with drivers and cylinders in a frame or bogie which swiveled under the boiler. All were built by Mason.

Z-1 CLASS

601 was built by Mason in 1885 as Old Colony 1 (Third 1).

831 later 2100 was built by Mason in 1890 as Old Colony 231.

Providence Warren & Bristol 7, "Pokanocket" was built by Mason in 1885 to negotiate the tight curve in East Providence.

Became Z-1 2102 and was retired in May 1906 around the time the line was electrified.

753 later 2103 was built by Mason in 1885 as Nantasket Beach RR 6.
